My name is Julia, and I am one of the founders of Art Box Workshops. We've been providing programmes for children since 2011, offering school holiday workshops, after-school art classes, and, more recently, our online art classes.

Our daughter has been attending the Saturday morning Art Box Workshops with Julia for more than three years now. As well as learning a variety of foundational art processes, she finds the studio environment to be welcoming and engaging, and tells us it is a peaceful way to start her morning. The recent move to online classes has been a positive experience so far. As Isabella explains, Julia’s approach is very much the same as it is in-studio, with quality, detailed instruction and explanations. She actively communicates with her students through weekly Zoom meetings and emails, giving them an opportunity to ask questions and seek feedback. We are really impressed with the way Julia has made this transition, enabling the students to continue with their weekly lessons.

My daughter has really enjoyed the various Art Box Workshops – both school holiday and weekly term classes. The workshops explore different aspects of painting, drawing and modelling and there is always an impressive piece of art to bring home at the end. The small group nature of classes combined with the professionalism of the teachers is a great forum for school children to explore their artist and creative side in a structured yet fun way. The classes have also been able to continue through lockdown as well. I highly recommend considering Art Box to other parents and their children.
